my Story

I’ve lived enough chapters to know that discipline builds dreams—and faith sustains them.

Where creativity meets conviction, and design becomes a reflection
of purpose.

I started design as a child — pencils, paint, and curiosity were my earliest tools. After studying fine art, I became fascinated by technology in the '90s, combining creativity and logic at a time when the digital world was just beginning.

My career began at SunTrust Bank in 1996, where I served as Creative Director developing early digital campaigns and presentations for executive teams across the U.S. By my late twenties, I was running national projects, building a six-figure creative business, and learning firsthand that design and business are inseparable. In 1998, while still at SunTrust, I launched my freelance practice. They became my first client — projects that helped me build momentum. Nearly 30 years later, that relationship remains strong, a testament to the quality of work and trust we built together.

Raised by entrepreneurs, I inherited a deep work ethic — get up at 5 a.m., do the work, no excuses. That same discipline carried into every chapter that followed: helping my husband, Dane, grow his fitness business from under $20K to over $3M in just four years, serving 200+ brands nationwide across retail and lifestyle marketing, and building systems that help others thrive. I learned early that I could manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional results — because when you're the primary provider for your family, there's no other option.

2013

The Year Everything Changed

In 2013, life threw us a curveball. Dane's retail office was damaged, and an insurance oversight left us with hundreds of thousands in losses on equipment — all while locked in a lease. Instead of accepting defeat, I saw opportunity.

I gutted that space and transformed it into something beautiful: a curated retail boutique by day and an event venue by night. The store became a Hendersonville favorite, filled with products that made people feel something — joy, celebration, beauty. Items from makers like Rifle Paper Co. were among our best sellers because their designs spoke to what I've always believed: beautiful things have the power to transform spaces and lives.

I turned a devastating loss into a profitable gain until the lease expired. It was never meant to be long-term, but it taught me something invaluable about resilience, merchandising, and what makes customers fall in love with products that matter.

When Life Pivots Again

In 2019, my world shifted. Dane suffered a widow-maker heart attack — a shock for two lifelong athletes. He survived, thank God, but our lives had to pivot once more. I became the primary earner for our family, and I've never wavered in my commitment to providing for them.

My faith has shaped everything — from divine encounters that changed my life to the joy of becoming a mother to two red-headed girls I was once told I'd never have. Today, one of those daughters is about to start college to become a chemical engineer, and I'm determined to give her every opportunity to succeed.

I value:

Purpose over popularity.
Design should make things work beautifully, not just look good.

Process over perfection.
Clarity comes from structure — not chaos or guesswork.

Depth over trends.
Strategy outlasts aesthetics when intention leads the way.

People over performance.
Success means nothing if it costs your peace.

Resilience over circumstances.
I've learned that the best work comes from people who understand not just design, but entrepreneurship, the power of beautiful things, and how to turn challenges into opportunities.

“I don’t design for applause — I design for alignment.
Every project should make life and business work beautifully together.”

FAVOURITE THINGS

Creation

God’s glory is woven into everything He made. I find beauty in the details — the way light falls through trees, the stillness of morning air, the rhythm of creation itself. His craftsmanship is beyond comprehension, and I see
His hand in all of it.

Magnum Opus

My greatest creation — my two daughters — are my most precious works of art. Their red hair is their crown of glory, and they are mine. They are the living proof of God’s promise fulfilled, a daily reminder of faith answered in love.

My Love

Life is richer and more meaningful with someone who is also your best friend. Married since 1999, I’m endlessly grateful for the gift of learning and growing alongside Dane — to become better together for our marriage, our children, and the life we’ve built with faith and laughter at its center.

at the laundry

It was late, and I was weary — but I opened my Bible anyway.
Frustrated by unanswered prayers, I read the story of Abraham and Sarah,
how God fulfilled His promise against all odds.
I whispered my own prayer:
“If You could do it for them, could You do it for me?”

Later that night, at a small laundromat while my husband was away,
an elderly couple walked in — elegant, out of place.
When the man started walking toward me, I hesitated.
But respect, taught by my grandfather, kept me from turning away.

He shook my hand and said,
“The Lord told me to tell you —just like Abraham and Sarah,
He will answer your prayer.”

That encounter changed me forever.
Faith met me in an ordinary place,
and years later, two red-headed daughters
became the living proof that God keeps His promises — right on time.
